Are car chargers more effective than charging piles?

Date:2019/9/9 15:48:39

Technology is developing, and as a necessity for daily travel, cars will naturally continue to transform in this trend. Generally, there are two charging methods for electric vehicles, which are the built-in charger or the charging pile of community properties or public properties. Compared with the charging pile of the car's own charger, which charging efficiency will be higher?

First, the electric car's own charger is not as good as the charging pile

The appliances used in our home are 220 volts, and the same is true of the appliances that come with charging piles. Because the input power of the power supply is limited, it takes longer to say that the car comes with a charger. On the contrary, the charging pile of the residential property adopts three-phase alternating current, and the input power can reach 380 volts, and the input power margin is greater than that of the car's own charger. Therefore, the charger that comes with an electric vehicle is not as efficient as a charging pile.

2. What are the benefits of bringing your own charger and charging pile?

The car's own charger generally takes a long time to charge. Taking an ordinary family car as an example, it takes eight hours or more to fully charge. However, the charging time of the charging pile is much faster, generally it can fully charge the battery within an hour or two. So the advantage of the charging pile is that the charging time is fast.

We know that if the battery is in the state of fast charging for a long time, it will have a great impact on the quality of the battery. Therefore, the built-in charger can reduce the loss of the battery and make the battery have a longer service life.

However, no matter what method is used for charging, a safe and environmentally friendly charging mode should be adopted. Electric vehicle charging cables are an important way to help electric vehicles transmit power. High-quality, safe and environmentally friendly cables must be selected.

The requirements for the use of electric vehicle charging cables are different from traditional wire and cable. The current wire and cable standards are difficult to cover all the use requirements of charging cables. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate independent charging cable product standards to promote the healthy development of the industry. The standards in the industry fully refer to the requirements of GB/T25085-2010 and GB/T25087-2010, and OMG is based on the accumulated experience of high-voltage products in vehicles for many years and the specific environment of the product. When referring to the two standards, it also refers to GB/T25085-2010 T12528-2008 rated 1500V AC rail locomotive standard and CQC-1103~1105 charging line standard. Mainly made higher requirements for voltage resistance, insulation volume resistivity, flame retardant, tear resistance, softness and so on.
