What are the technical requirements of charging pile cables (detailed introduction)

Date:2019/3/25 16:41:38

At present, my country has become the world's largest market for new energy vehicles, and new energy vehicles have become one of the strategic emerging industries that the country has given priority to. With the continuous development of science and technology, the continuous improvement of technology, and the continuous improvement of charging facilities, new energy vehicles will also show rapid growth in the future. The construction of new energy vehicle infrastructure will also be comprehensively promoted, the technology of charging facilities will also be comprehensively upgraded, and the technical requirements and standards will be increasingly strict. The same is true for charging pile cables.

The charging pile cable is a carrier connecting the electric vehicle and the charging pile, and its basic function is to transmit electrical energy. However, with the development of charging technology, to better complete the charging process, there is a need for communication between the electric vehicle and the charging pile, and automatic control when necessary. Therefore, the charging process imposes higher requirements on the charging cable. The charging cable not only needs to have the function of power transmission but also needs to transfer the status and information of the vehicle and power battery to the charging pile for real-time interaction. Under the necessary conditions, the charging Actions are controlled to complete the charging process safely and reliably.

Safety requirements At present, the safety of electric vehicles has become the focus of the industry. In the charging and discharging process of electric vehicles, due to a long time, the current intensity is large, and the frequency of cable used is high, its safety should be highly valued. Charging pile charging cable should have high heat resistance and aging resistance based on ensuring good insulation performance. At the same time, it should have good low smoke flame retardant properties during combustion to ensure that losses and injuries are minimized.

The specific technical requirements of the cable are as follows:

1. Conductor

a. Number of cores: 2, 3, 4, 5 with or without signal control line-conductor belongs to category 6 in EN60228

b. Tinned or not

c. Recommended line cross-section: 0,5;1;1,5; 2,5;4;6;10;16mm2

2. Isolation layer

a. Allow the use of suitable materials to isolate the conductor winding

3. Insulation

a. The conductor must be covered with the specified insulating material

b. The insulation must be extruded and must be solid and uniform. After removing the insulation, it must not damage the insulation itself and the conductor or the tin plating layer present

c. The specified value of the insulation thickness shall comply with the standard. The average value of the insulation thickness shall not be less than the specified value, and the thickness of the thinnest part of the insulation shall not be less than 90% of the specified value-0,1mm

4. Core wire and filling

a. The core wire must be twisted

b. Allow the use of center packing

5. Inner sheath (if any)

a. The stranded core wire must be covered with an outer sheath or an inner sheath of the same material as the insulation

b. The inner sheath must be squeezed on the insulated core wire, allowing the gap between the embedded insulated wire core to form a practical circle

c. There should be no harmful effects between the inner sheath and the insulation

d. The inner sheath should not be bonded to the insulated core wire

e. The specified value of the inner sheath thickness must comply with the standard

6. Shield

a. Bare copper wire or tinned copper wire braided shield should be wrapped on the inner sheath

b. The nominal diameter of the copper wire should meet the standard given value

c. The total number of splices twisted angles and fill factor within 100mm of the shielding length must meet the standard requirements

7. The sheath or outer jacket

a. The shielding or stranded core wire must be covered with the specified sheath material

b. The outer sheath must be a single-layer extruded package and must be tightly matched, but not bonded to the shield or core wire

c. The specified value of the sheath thickness should comply with the standard

d. The average value of the thickness of the sheath should not be less than the specified value, and the thickness of the thinnest part of the sheath should not be less than 85﹪-0,1mm of the specified value
